Ahhhhh! Spring in Lancaster County! I sat in the two feet deep windows
sills of our Bed and Breakfast for the first time since fall...I could
smell the freshness of the land and see the birds above me flying in V
formation towards the northern end of Lancaster County. All around our B
and B, Amish and Mennonite farmers are preparing the soil for bountiful
crops.
Our Old Order Mennonite neighbors daughter, Miriam plays
alongside of our beautiful adopted Haitian daughter, Taicha. They are
picking flowers and racing around our big yard. Occasionally I am amazed
at how unusual this scene is. And it makes me grateful once again for
the end of winter (and mounds of snow!) and beginning of Spring.
